Challenge
Dropbox Paper is a collaborative writing and productivity tool. As teams started using it for more polished, final work, they needed a way for copy editors and stakeholders to suggest changes without overwriting the original. During my Dropbox product design project, I created a suggested‑edits feature for Paper to support that review and approval workflow.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
If we provide users an easy way to suggest and accept edits in Paper, they will collaborate more often and thus retain at higher rates.
Users are accustomed to Google Docs and Microsoft Word suggested changes and view Paper as behind the curve. We believe that suggested changes will improve communication between collaborative users and speed up the content creation and editing process on Paper.
